With a growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects across Regional NSW we are seeking experienced Site Engineers, Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineer to join our project teams.

These roles offer the opportunity to build your engineering career through hands‑on involvement in major energy and transmission projects, working alongside experienced construction teams and contributing to the delivery of large‑scale infrastructure. You will gain practical site experience, develop your technical and project management capabilities, and play an active role in delivering critical infrastructure across regional Australia.

About the Role

MCS Civil is seeking experienced Site Engineers, Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to support the delivery of major energy and transmission projects across Regional NSW.

Working alongside Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and client representatives, you will contribute to the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of construction activities, with responsibilities aligned to your experience and level of seniority.

Across these roles, you will be involved in key stages of project delivery, including construction planning, site operations, quality assurance, technical documentation, subcontractor coordination, programming and project controls. Senior candidates will bring greater responsibility for project coordination, planning, delivery outcomes and supporting site teams.





Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and support construction activities across civil, energy and transmission infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to construction planning, programming, short‑term scheduling and project delivery strategies.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, scopes of work and technical documentation.
- Prepare and review work packs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), SWMS and other project documentation.
- Monitor construction progress, productivity, quantities, resources and project milestones.
- Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks and verification of completed works.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to maintain construction schedules and delivery standards.
- Ensure works comply with project specifications, Australian Standards, contractual requirements and quality procedures.
- Support procurement, cost tracking, progress claims, reporting and project administration.
- Identify construction risks, resolve technical issues and contribute to practical, cost‑effective solutions.
- Promote a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, with senior roles taking greater responsibility for project coordination, planning and delivery outcomes.

About You





- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in civil construction, with opportunities available for developing engineers through to experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers.
- Sound understanding of civil construction methodologies, engineering principles and site practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, standards and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, ITPs, inspections and construction hold points.
- Understanding of construction programming, project controls, progress reporting and cost management.
- Familiarity with surveying, quantities, measurements and construction set‑out.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam or similar technical software highly regarded.
- Experience across earthworks, concrete, drainage, structures or utilities highly regarded.
- Experience on energy, transmission, utilities or major infrastructure projects highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate construction activities and work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
- Current White Card and unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
- Willingness to work DIDO/FIFO rosters across regional project locations.
