Key Account Manager - Commercial Furniture, Industry Leader

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Account Manager tojoina market leader in the Australian Commercial Furniture industry. Withcollections of locally designed and manufactured furniture, as well asinternational brands that they represent on an exclusive basis, theirhigh-end product offeringis suitable for commercial, educational, hospitality and residential spaces.

This role is not working with the Architecture and Design community, but nurturing existing end-user relationships. The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience within the commercial furniture sector.

Key responsibilities

Manage client relationships with key corporateaccounts, establishing trusted relationships and building rapport

Service clients’ additional, repeat, and ongoing product requirements, identifying opportunities to grow account value

Use existing databases and networks to identify leads, develop opportunities, and convert new business

Proactive target new sectors of opportunity, including the government and business sectors

Represent the company at industry and networking events including commercial property, corporate and facilities events

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current product ranges, stock options, lead times and competitor positioning

Skills & experience

Commercial furniture industry experience highly regarded

Ability to self-motivate to meet and achieve sales targets and develop a comprehensive sales pipeline

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to easily build rapport and long-term relationships with clients and colleagues

Experience liaising with end-users, Facility Managers,



Procurement Managers and commercial decision makers (your clients)

Proactive mindset to identify and follow up on project opportunities and leads

High attention to detail and organisation, easily managing multiple priorities, projects and clients at one time

A passion for high-end design and an understanding of the client experience associated with world-leading designer products
