Fettlers Hall is launching in November in an iconic park-side location in Elsternwick. We're seeking an experienced, hands‑on Venue Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of Fettlers Hall and help make our November launch a success. You'll play a key role in preparing the venue for opening, building and training the team, establishing service standards and ensuring the venue operates smoothly from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee venue preparations and operational readiness for the November launch
- Manage day‑to‑day venue operations and deliver exceptional service
- Recruit, lead, train and develop the hospitality team
- Manage staff rostering, labour costs and shift planning
- Coordinate functions, events and service operations
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and safety
- Oversee stock control, ordering and operational costs
- Create a positive team culture and lead by example
- Ensure compliance with RSA requirements, workplace health and safety and relevant regulations
- Work closely with ownership and management to establish and grow the business
About you
- Previous experience in venue management or a similar hospitality leadership role
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Experience managing teams and busy hospitality operations
- A hands‑on, proactive approach and the ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent customer service and problem‑solving skills
- Current Victorian RSA certification, as required for the role
- Availability for evenings, weekends and the venue opening period
