We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to support children and young

people in residential homes, emergency placements, supported accommodation and

community-based programs.

KeyResponsibilities

- Assessthesocial,emotional,behaviouralanddevelopmentalneedsofchildrenand
- Contributetothedevelopment,implementationandreviewofindividualisedcareand
- Monitorandevaluateyoungpeople'sprogressagainstsupportplanobjectives,
- documentingoutcomesandrecommendingadjustmentswhererequired.
- managepersonalchallenges,developresilienceandbuildpositiverelationships.




- Supportchildrenandyoungpeopletodevelopindependentlivingskills,including
- Encourageparticipationineducation,vocationaltraining,employmentpreparation
- childprotectionandcommunitysupportservices.
- Liaisewithfamilies,casemanagers,schools,governmentagenciesandotherservice
- providerstocoordinatesupportandpromotecontinuityofcare.
- Maintainaccuratecasenotes,assessmentrecords,progressreports,incidentreports
- andotherrequireddocumentation.
- Respondappropriatelytoincidentsandcrisissituationsinaccordancewithindividual
- Promoteasafe,inclusiveandsupportiveenvironmentthatrespectstherights,dignity
- andindividualneedsofeveryyoungperson.
- Complywithapplicablechildprotection,workplacehealthandsafety,privacy,NDIS
- RelevantqualificationinYouthWork,CommunityServices,Child,YouthandFamily
- Interventionorarelatedfield.
- NDISWorkerScreeningClearance,whereapplicabletotherole.
- Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,includingtheabilitytomaintain
- Abilitytoworkcollaborativelywithyoungpeople,families,colleaguesandexternal
- serviceproviders.

MandatoryTraining

Successfulapplicantswillberequiredtocompleterelevantorganisationaltraining,including:

- Medicationadministration,whererequired.
