We are looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join our team on a permanent part-time basis at Best Western Olde Maritime, 110 Merri Street, Warrnambool, VIC — a well-established property at the western end of the Great Ocean Road, beside Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. You’ll be working in the kitchen of the recently refurbished Clovelly Restaurant & Bar, open seven days for breakfast and dinner and consistently rated among Warrnambool’s top restaurants. Role overview The Commis Chef will assist in the preparation of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Key responsibilities
• Assist in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables, and seasoning meats
• Perform basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs, such as grilling, frying and baking
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and ensure hygiene standards are met
• Help with receiving deliveries, organising stock and taking inventory
• Rotate through different kitchen stations to gain experience and learn various cooking techniques
