About the role
JG Stathis & Co. is a family-run CPA firm in Mansfield, looking for a full-time Accounting Support Officer to join our team. This is a behind-the-scenes administration role. You’ll keep the practice running smoothly so our accountants can focus on client work. You don’t need an accounting degree. We’re after someone organised, accurate and comfortable with computers, and we’ll train you in our systems and processes. It’s a good fit for someone starting out in an accounting or business admin career, or an experienced administrator looking for a stable, supportive workplace. Responsibilities
• Data entry and processing of client information in our practice management and accounting software
• Setting up and maintaining client files, both digital and physical
• Scanning, indexing and filing documents, including ATO and ASIC correspondence
• Preparing tax returns and financial statements for client signing, then tracking their return
• Monitoring lodgement and due-date workflows and following up outstanding items
• Assisting with ASIC company administration, such as annual statements and register updates




• Raising client invoices and helping with debtor follow-up
• Preparing engagement letters and standard client correspondence
• General office administration, including mail, supplies and keeping records up to date About you
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
• Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Previous administration experience is helpful, ideally in an accounting, bookkeeping or professional services office
• Familiarity with Xero, MYOB or practice management software is a bonus but not required
• Studying, or interested in studying, accounting or business is welcome
