About the role
We're looking for experienced sales professionals to help drive the next stage of Cater Central's growth. Depending on your strengths and experience, the opportunity may involve showroom sales, business development, account management or a combination of these. You'll work with recent and existing customers, identify commercial opportunities, recommend suitable equipment, develop quotations, negotiate sales and build relationships that generate repeat business.
Key responsibilities
• Generate sales and grow revenue by converting enquiries, developing new opportunities and maximising the value of existing customer relationships.
• Develop new business across cafés, restaurants, hotels, catering companies, commercial kitchens and related hospitality businesses.
• Build and manage key accounts by understanding customer needs, identifying future purchasing opportunities and becoming a trusted point of contact.
• Use your product knowledge to recommend appropriate equipment, explain the benefits and help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Leverage industry relationships to develop referrals, open doors and create new commercial opportunities.
• Prepare and follow up quotations with the persistence, commercial awareness and attention to detail required to win business.
• Sell on value, not just price by demonstrating product suitability, reliability, service, functionality and overall value.
• Work collaboratively with our showroom, warehouse, procurement and operational teams to deliver a professional customer experience.
• Manage your pipeline and performance through consistent follow-up, accurate CRM records and a disciplined approach to sales activity.
• Contribute to business growth by sharing market intelligence, identifying emerging opportunities and helping us strengthen our position in the industry. About you
• A strong track record in sales, business development or account management.
• Practical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, hospitality products or related solutions.
• The ability to build rapport quickly and establish credibility with business owners, chefs, venue managers, procurement teams and other decision-makers.
• Confidence negotiating, overcoming objections and progressing opportunities through to a sale.
• Commercial awareness, including an understanding of margins, profitability and the importance of selling the right solution.
• A proactive approach to prospecting, follow-up and developing new business.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, quotations and structured sales processes.
• A professional, accountable and results-oriented attitude.
• Existing industry contacts and customer relationships are a significant advantage.
