Senior AssociateGreater Sydney Area | Full-Time Role DescriptionWe are currently seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Associate to join our growing practice. This role is suited to a lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of matters, developing case strategy and working directly with sophisticated clients. The successful candidate will manage files from inception through to resolution, including advising clients, developing litigation and negotiation strategies, drafting pleadings and related court documents, conducting advocacy and appearing in courts, tribunals and investigations where appropriate. The position offers substantial client contact and responsibility.



You will work closely with the Principal on significant matters while also having the autonomy to run your own matters and build trusted relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities
include:
• Managing matters from commencement through to final resolution.
• Developing and implementing litigation, regulatory and commercial strategies.
• Drafting complex advice, correspondence, pleadings, submissions and settlement documents.
• Conducting negotiations and dispute resolution processes.
• Preparing for and appearing at hearings, mediations and conferences.
• Advising clients on legal risk, compliance and strategic decision-making.
• Maintaining strong client relationships through clear, practical and responsive communication.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff.
• Contributing to business development and practice growth initiatives. Qualifications and ExperienceWe are seeking a lawyer with approximately 3-5 years' post-admission experience who demonstrates:
• Strong litigation, dispute resolution and advisory experience.
• The ability to independently manage matters from beginning to end.
• Excellent written advocacy and legal drafting skills.




• Outstanding client-facing communication and relationship management abilities.
• Sound commercial judgment and strategic thinking.
• Experience appearing in courts, tribunals, mediations or regulatory processes.
• Strong organisational and matter management skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor junior team members.
• Admission as a lawyer in Australia and a current practising certificate.
