Commercial Analyst | Kyneton, Bendigo, Goldfields & Macedon Ranges VIC | Full time At Central Steel Build, we design and fabricate steel buildings across Australia for the commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors. This is a hands-on commercial finance role in a project-driven business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in analysing commercial performance, improving pricing accuracy, and helping the business maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities
• Analyse quoted versus delivered margins and prepare monthly gross profit and project margin reviews across live projects
• Support monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, including accruals, cost-to-complete and margin forecasts
• Identify and report emerging commercial risks and opportunities across the project portfolio
• Deliver monthly commercial reporting, KPI dashboards (Power BI), budget inputs, business forecasting and variance analysis What you’ll bring
• 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial analyst, financial analyst or similar role,



including at least 2 years in a project-based environment, ideally construction, manufacturing or engineering
• Robust understanding of job costing, WIP, variations and commercial risk
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities
• Experience with ERP and BI reporting systems, ideally NetSuite and Power BI
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CA/CPA (or progressing) desirable Why join Central Steel Build?
