Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at Hunter City Motor Group in Maitland, NSW. The Salesperson will engage with customers in the showroom and yard, identify their vehicle needs, and present suitable new and used options while explaining features, benefits, and pricing clearly. Day-to-day tasks include conducting test drives, preparing quotes, guiding customers through finance and insurance offerings, and coordinating with the service and parts teams to support a seamless ownership experience. The role also involves maintaining accurate sales records, following up with leads and existing customers, and assisting with vehicle displays and promotional events.



Salespeople are expected to uphold dealership standards, comply with relevant regulations, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture. Qualifications
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen actively and understand individual needs.
• Sales and negotiation skills, including experience meeting targets, handling objections, and closing deals in a professional manner.
• Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, confident presentation abilities, and accurate documentation of customer interactions.
• Basic understanding of vehicle features, specifications, and maintenance needs, with willingness to learn brand and product details.
• Comfort with using dealership systems, CRM tools, and standard office software for quoting, record-keeping, and follow-up.
• Ability to work on-site in Maitland, NSW, including weekend and peak trading hours as required, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales, or customer-facing roles is highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s licence and a protected driving record; eligibility to work in Australia.
