About the role
We’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to protect critical infrastructure clients, with a focus on the energy sector. You’ll design, implement and test security controls across SCADA, ICS and OT environments, and help clients meet their regulatory obligations through our GRC platform.

Key responsibilities
• Design, implement, test and support cyber security controls for SCADA, ICS and OT systems, including network segmentation aligned to IEC 62443 and the Purdue Model
• Conduct security assessments, threat modelling and vulnerability analysis of SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs and industrial networks
• Develop and maintain security monitoring, hardening baselines and technical documentation for OT environments
• Support clients’ compliance with the SOCI Act, CIRMP and the AESCSF, and map controls and evidence within GRCLens




• Maintain risk registers and produce executive and board-level cyber risk reporting
• Support incident response and recovery for OT-related security events
• Work closely with engineering, operations and control room teams to embed security by design
• About you
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in OT/ICS cyber security or SCADA engineering with a strong security focus
• Working knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3 and IEC 61850
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST CSF and ISO/IEC 27001, plus Australian energy sector requirements (AESCSF, SOCI/CIRMP)
• Proficiency with GRC platforms for control mapping, evidence management and risk reporting
• Solid communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risk to non-technical stakeholders
• Certifications such as GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443 or CISSP are highly regarded Melbourne or Brisbane based | Full-time, permanent

Salary:
$90,000 to $110,000 per annum plus superannuation
