As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering modern, secure and scalable payment solutions while working alongside talented engineers, designers and product specialists. You'll bring robust front end expertise, contribute to meaningful platform enhancements, and help drive smarter ways of working through AI enabled engineering practices. This is an opportunity to influence customer facing products, mentor others, and work on a strong pipeline of initiatives that continue to evolve and innovate. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane).
What You'll Do
• Lead the development of modern payment experiences, including checkout journeys, account management features and customer facing digital capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to deliver scalable, responsive and accessible solutions that create great customer experiences.
• Apply AI enabled engineering practices to improve delivery efficiency, code quality and team effectiveness.
• Translate complex business and payment requirements into intuitive, high quality user interfaces and services.
• Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, secure development practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to building a collaborative culture that encourages learning, innovation and technical growth.
• Contribute to agile delivery activities including planning, refinement, reviews and successful delivery of roadmap initiatives. What You'll Bring
• Strong experience building modern applications using React, TypeScript,
Node.js and contemporary web technologies.
• A track record of delivering customer facing digital products in agile environments.
• Experience applying AI tools or practices to support software engineering outcomes.
• Confidence working across front end and back end technologies within full stack environments.
• An understanding of secure, accessible and high performing application development.
• Experience integrating APIs, services or payment related platforms is highly valued.
• Curiosity, collaboration and a passion for solving complex problems with practical solutions.
