Join Cricket Victoria! We’re hiring a Commercial Partnerships Specialist for our Big Bash Victoria team on a 3-month contract, starting as soon as possible.

Want to work where commercial partnerships meet professional sport? The Melbourne Stars are looking for a Commercial Partnerships Specialist to help deliver great outcomes for our partners throughout the cricket season.

You’ll work with commercial partners across the Melbourne Stars and Cricket Victoria, building strong relationships and bringing partnerships to life through match day activations, events and experiences. Working closely with partners and internal teams, you’ll deliver agreed benefits and create meaningful value for partners and the organisation.

This full-time, fixed-term opportunity is available to start as soon as possible and runs until early February.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a portfolio of commercial partners across the Melbourne Stars and Cricket Victoria, building strong relationships and delivering agreed sponsorship benefits.
- Develop creative sponsorship plans and activations that align with partners’ objectives and maximise value.
- Coordinate partner events, match day activations, player appearances and exclusive experiences.
- Prepare tailored proposals, renewals and agreements, supporting new partnership opportunities.
- Work across internal teams to integrate partner benefits into marketing campaigns, events and broader business activities.
- Support the delivery and promotion of the Melbourne Stars’ match day hospitality program, liaising with external providers.
- Monitor partnership performance and return on investment, preparing reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Support budget management and maintain accurate commercial records, assets and reporting.

About You

You’ll bring:

- Proven work history in a similar senior role
- A self-driven and highly motivated person prepared to roll up their sleeves and 'get it done'




- Capable of delivering an end-to-end solution for current and prospective partners
- Able to think creatively and deliver ideas for partners and the greater business
- Demonstrated ability to build and retain relationships at all levels
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work within a small team environment

Highly Regarded:

- Previous Corporate Partner experience, preferably within a sporting body

Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant degree - i.e. Business, Marketing, etc.
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Valid Driver’s licence
