We are seeking an experienced Site Automation Engineer with experience to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in automation systems. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of theatre automation processes.

About the Role

We are a small business working within the stage automation sector. As a Site Automation Engineer, you will install and maintain automation systems, providing technical expertise to optimize processes.

You will be responsible for leading a small team, installing and troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Duties include:

- Updating systems, running reports, investigations and repairs of automated systems
- Resolve electrical and mechanical issues
- Perform testing and calibration for hoists, motors, drivers, sensors and actuators
- Use PLC programming tools and specialized theatre control systems.
- Work with other engineers and team members
- Performing software updates

Skills & Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering
- Driving license & OHS white card (essential)
- Welding experience / qualification (essential)
- Strong knowledge of industrial networks, control systems, and instrumentation
- Expertise in troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems
- Robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
