Tania Olsen Designs is looking for an experienced and detail-focused Quality Control & Seamstress to join our team.

Working across our bridal and formalwear collections, this is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring every gown meets our quality standards before being dispatched to our retailers and customers.

We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent garment knowledge and practical sewing skills who takes pride in beautiful workmanship.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting detailed quality-control inspections of bridal, formal and bridesmaid gowns
- Checking garments for fabric faults, marks, pulls, snags and manufacturing issues
- Inspecting seams, linings, zippers, buttons, corsetry, boning and garment construction
- Checking lace, appliqué, beading and embellishments for correct placement and secure attachment
- Checking hems, straps, sleeves and garment finishing
- Identifying faults before garments are approved for dispatch
- Completing minor garment repairs and rectifications in-house
- Hand sewing loose appliqués, beads, buttons and trims
- Repairing minor seams, linings, button loops and closures where required
- Identifying issues that require further repair or management review
- Ensuring all detachable pieces and accessories are supplied with the correct gown
- Maintaining accurate QC records and clearly documenting faults
- Completing a final quality check before approving garments for dispatch
- Working closely with our warehouse, QC and customer service teams




- Providing feedback on recurring manufacturing issues so these can be addressed with our production team

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Professional sewing or seamstress experience
- Experience with bridal, formalwear, eveningwear or delicate garments highly regarded
- Solid knowledge of garment construction
- Excellent hand-sewing and garment-repair skills
- Experience working with lace, tulle, satin, chiffon, beading and delicate fabrics
- An exceptional eye for detail
- High personal standards for garment quality and presentation
- The ability to identify construction and manufacturing faults
- Confidence working independently and making quality-control decisions
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- A careful, patient and methodical approach to your work

What We're Looking For

This role would suit an experienced seamstress, bridal alterations specialist, dressmaker or garment quality-control professional who understands that the smallest details matter.

You don't need to be completing major bridal alterations. We are primarily looking for someone who can identify quality issues, carry out minor repairs and ensure that a gown is genuinely ready to leave our warehouse.

Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
