About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team at our Head Office in Adelaide’s western suburbs. This role is a full-time position.

Under the guidance of the IT Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Supporting and maintaining on-premises infrastructure and hybrid/cloud systems.
- Administering Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online)
- Managing identity & access systems (Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID).
- Maintaining endpoint management platforms (Intune, Group Policy).
- Supporting and maintaining secure network infrastructure (Routing, switching, firewalling, VPNs, wireless).
- Identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities across infrastructure, cloud services and endpoints.
- Managing and testing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Maintaining VoIP telecommunications and contact centre platform.
- Administering and maintaining the organisation’s website and associated platforms.
- Acting as the technical escalation point for the IT Support Officer.
- Providing end-user support as required, including troubleshooting hardware,



software, and system issues.
- Contributing to the continual improvement of IT service processes, documentation and asset management practices.
- Participating in IT infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Working with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and deliver projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, system security, and user experience.
- Assisting with the development of IT standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supporting security and compliance with internal policies and external requirements.

Skills and Experience

Essential

- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience administering Microsoft-based infrastructure in a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong experience administering:
- Microsoft 365 & Entra ID
- Windows Server and Active Directory
- Endpoint Management (Intune & Group Policy)
- Virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
- Backup & disaster recovery solutions
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking principles and experience maintaining network infrastructure including routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, wireless, VPNs and firewalls.




- Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity principles, access control, security hardening and vulnerability management.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small IT team.

Desirable

- Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with the ACSC Essential Eight or NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Relevant Microsoft, networking or cybersecurity certifications.
