About the role

You'll visit clients in their homes and support them according to their individual care plans. You'll respect each person's choices, routines, culture and preferences.

Key responsibilities

Helping clients move safely and maintain their independence

Supporting shopping, transport and attendance at appointments

Providing companionship, social support and respite

Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming

Helping with light household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry and meal preparation

Recording clear progress notes and promptly reporting changes in a client's health, wellbeing or safety

Flexible working hours, with weekday availability from 8 am preferred

Support from a dedicated service team

Ongoing learning and development, with training and opportunities to build your skills

Salary packaging (package up to $15,900 + $2,650 annually)

Permanent staff have access to 5 weeks of annual leave (pro rata for part time) and 15 days of personal leave (pro rata for part time) per annum





About you

Either commenced or completed a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021), or an equivalent qualification

Experience in aged care or disability support, ideally in clients' homes or the community

Current First Aid and CPR certificates

A recognised Food Safety certificate

A valid driver's licence and your own registered, roadworthy vehicle with at least third-party insurance

Clear communication and documentation skills, and confidence using a mobile phone for rosters and care notes

A National Police Check and the right to work in Australia

Italian language skills or an understanding of Italian culture would be an advantage
