Job Description
\*\*SPIRE COOK \*\*Culinary Background PreferredJoin Our Academy Dining TeamWe are seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team at a busy academy school dining program. The ideal candidate will have professional cooking experience, a culinary background, and a passion for preparing fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals for students, athletes, staff, and guests.Position Responsibilities* Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special event meals
* Follow standardized recipes while maintaining quality, flavor, and presentation
* Prepare large-volume meals for students and student-athletes
* Assist with menu preparation, food production, and daily kitchen operations
* Maintain proper portion control and minimize food waste
* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
* Properly store, label, and rotate food products
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
* Assist with catering, athletic events, and special functions




* Work closely with other cooks and dining staff to ensure timely meal serviceQualifications* Previous professional cooking experience required* Culinary education, culinary degree, or professional culinary training preferred* Experience with high-volume food production is a plus
* Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced school dining environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
* Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
