About the Role
/n Join Rubicon Water as a Senior Software Engineer and help build the software behind technology that is transforming the way water is managed in irrigation networks around the world. /n We are looking for an experienced developer with strong Java and Angular skills to join our software development team. You will work across new product development, existing product enhancement, customer-specific solutions and the ongoing support and improvement of production systems. /n This is a hands-on senior role where you will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, contribute to software architecture, solve complex problems and help lift engineering practices across the team. /n /n
What You'll Do
/n /n
- Design, develop, test and maintain Rubicon's software products using Java and Angular. /n
- Develop robust, maintainable applications across the full software development lifecycle. /n
- Contribute to software design, architecture and technical decision-making. /n
- Work as an active member of a cross-functional Agile DevOps team. /n
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across development, test and production environments. /n
- Contribute to the reliability, performance and quality of software used by customers in operational environments. /n
- Work with product owners and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. /n
- Mentor and support other developers and contribute to improving software engineering practices across the team. /n
- Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing and continuous improvement of our development processes.
/n /n /n /n Description/n /n /n What You'll Bring /n We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical skills with a practical, collaborative approach. /n We're looking for: /n /n
- 6+ years' commercial software development experience. /n
- Strong professional experience with Java, ideally including Spring and Spring Boot. /n
- Strong experience with Angular and modern web application development. /n
- Strong SQL and relational database skills, preferably Oracle. /n
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs. /n
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. /n
- Experience working in a CI/CD and DevOps environment. /n
- Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns and architecture. /n
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. /n
- Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced developers. /n
