Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated
Senior Accountant
to join our Business Advisory & Tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, solving problems and developing their technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role Working closely with Managers and Directors, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and have the opportunity to work on a range of tax, accounting and business advisory matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements for a diverse range of entities
Preparing and reviewing BAS, GST and FBT returns
Providing clients with practical advice on accounting and taxation matters
Identifying and addressing tax technical issues
Building and maintaining robust client relationships
Assisting and supporting junior team members
Working closely with Managers and Directors on more complex client matters
Contributing to a collaborative team environment and the continued growth of our Business Advisory & Tax services
About You We are looking for someone who is technically capable, commercially minded and enjoys building strong client relationships.
You will ideally have:
A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline
3+ years' experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
Completed or be nearing completion of CA or CPA
Strong Australian tax and accounting knowledge
Experience with tax technical issues and complex client structures
Experience dealing directly with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
A professional, approachable and personable manner
An interest in developing and mentoring less experienced team members
