Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose and repair a vast range of Caterpillar Mobile Plant equipment

Perform component overhauls and planned component change outs

Assemble new machines to customer specifications

Interpret schematics and technical drawings

Service machines and write service reports

Rebuild machines

Safely operate workshop equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes and tools

Maintain a safe working environment

Navigate Caterpillar systems to ensure all work is done in accordance with Caterpillar’s quality standards

About You

Must be 16 years or older by December 2026

Australian working rights (Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Strong communication, reading and writing skills

Genuine interest in mechanical trades, machinery or hands‑on learning

Driver’s licence and reliable transport (or close to obtaining one) with ability to travel to work and training

Honest, reliable and dependable

Team‑oriented with a positive attitude
