Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Townsville. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients, taking vital signs, discussing their symptoms, documenting their health history, administering medications, and providing resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard‑working attitude.

Responsibilities

Immunisations and other injections

Triage

Wound management

Chronic disease management

ECGs

Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance

Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries





Assisting with telehealth consultations

Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation

Daily co‑ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, general maintenance and care of medical instruments and equipment

Implementing and practicing infection controlAssist with Reception and Practice Management duties

Qualifications & Requirements

Current AHPRA registration

Excellent communication skills

Enjoys working in a team environment

Working experience in an accredited General Practice setting

A caring and collaborative approach to patient care

A sense of urgency, compassion and professionalism

Proven multi‑tasking, problem‑solving and time‑management skills

Use of Best Practice programs preferred

Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments

Must Provide

Current Police Check

Current AHPRA registration

Current Working with Children clearance

Current First Aid/CPR certificate

Immunisation Record

Driving licence or photo ID
