Estimator

Senior Estimator
to join their growing business. Experience can be in either Civil or Demolition or both, versatile on background. Ideally having worked on projects circa $10m or larger. Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects. Types of projects include demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5m to $50m however can go up to $100m+. Candidates will need to have strong communication skills as will be part of the preconstruction team and will be involved in putting the tender together as well as tender interviews. ASAP start for the right candidate. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working on tenders Coordinating internal and external resources Preparation and submission of tenders Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness Tender negotiations Coordinate tender handover to project team Prepare budgets based on tender submission Assess and price contract variation orders Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar 5 – 10+ years’ management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+ Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach Effective problem-solving abilities High level of commercial acumen High level of organisation and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on “Apply” to submit your resume.
