Ipswich

## Experienced Physiotherapist – Ipswich $90,000–$110,000 base + $10,000 car allowance + super + $1,500 PD allowance + performance bonus Full-time or part-time considered
- We are not considering sponsorship for this role as the interview process requires an in-person skill assessment. About You You’re an experienced Physiotherapist who takes pride in doing your job well. You care about the person in front of you. You communicate clearly, follow through on what you say you will do and take responsibility for your work. You’re comfortable working independently, but you also know when to ask for another opinion. If you come across something you don’t know, you’re willing to research it, seek help and work out the best way forward. You enjoy variety and can adapt your communication and treatment style to different people. One appointment might involve neurological rehabilitation, the next a child who needs therapy turned into play, followed by an NDIS participant, DVA client or someone requiring more traditional musculoskeletal physiotherapy. If that sounds like the way you like to work, we’d like to talk. ## The role Better Move Mobile Physiotherapy services Ipswich and surrounding communities. Initially, this will be a predominantly mobile role with a varied caseload across:
- NDIS
- Neurological conditions
- Paediatrics
- DVA
- Private patients
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Community rehabilitation A significant part of our client base is children. We therefore need someone who can bring energy and creativity to paediatric sessions, incorporate play into therapy and adapt their approach to the individual child while remaining focused on meaningful clinical outcomes. We also expect our clinicians to think beyond simply completing the appointment. If something isn't working, tell us. If you're unsure about a clinical presentation, ask. If you believe further training would help, let's look at it. If equipment could improve an outcome and expand what you're able to offer patients, bring us the idea. Our approach is generally “why not?” rather than “no”, provided an idea is grounded in better patient outcomes, professional development or sensible business growth. We expect initiative and open communication from you. ## Communication matters Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role. Our Physiotherapists work directly with patients, children, parents, carers, support coordinators, plan managers and other health professionals. You need to be able to:
- Build rapport with people from different backgrounds and age groups
- Explain clinical information clearly in everyday language
- Communicate confidently with parents, carers and other professionals
- Write clear, accurate and professional clinical notes and reports
- Raise problems early rather than allowing them to become bigger problems
- Give and receive feedback openly Communication is an important part of clinical care, and we treat it that way. ## Mobile now, hybrid in the future Initially, the position will be mobile across Ipswich and surrounding areas. Where possible,

we build caseloads geographically and try to have your final appointment reasonably close to home rather than sending you backwards and forwards unnecessarily. In the new year, we are planning to establish a small clinic space in the Pine Mountain area. If that proceeds as planned, the role will develop into a combination of clinic and mobile work. The clinic will allow us to broaden our private physiotherapy and aged-care services and expand further into Pine Mountain, Fernvale, Lowood and surrounding communities. It is located on a rural property overlooking a dam, paddocks and surrounding countryside, providing opportunities to use both indoor and outdoor environments as part of therapy where appropriate. ## Remuneration The package includes:
- $90,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience
- $10,000 annual car allowance
- Superannuation
- $1,500 annual professional development allowance
- Supported training and development
- Performance bonus after successful completion of probation Our bonus structure rewards clinicians who generate revenue above their KPI while continuing to meet our standards for clinical care, documentation and communication. The initial bonus is 25% of revenue generated above KPI. For context, within a fully mobile NDIS caseload, KPI is currently reached at approximately 22 sessions per week. The bonus percentage increases with tenure. As our clinic model develops, KPI expectations will reflect the mix of clinic and mobile work. ## Full-time and part-time We will consider both. Part-time applicants need to be available for a minimum of three days per week, with some capacity to increase hours occasionally when another team member is on leave or additional coverage is required. We want flexibility to work both ways. If you want to work longer one day and finish earlier another, we are open to that. If you need flexibility around family or other commitments, we'll work with you where we reasonably can. In return, we need people who communicate openly about their availability and honour the commitments they make. ## The culture we're building This part matters to us. We want to work with people we can trust. That doesn't mean never making a mistake. It means being open when something goes wrong, taking responsibility and working with the team to fix it. We value people who:
- Do what they say they will do
- Turn up when they say they will
- Keep their notes and diary up to date
- Communicate early when something changes
- Ask for help when they need it
- Look for answers rather than ignoring problems
- Offer to help when they have capacity
- Remain flexible when the team genuinely needs support
- Take pride in the standard of their work

- Care about getting good outcomes for their patients We don't want to micromanage good clinicians. When we know your patients are being looked after, your documentation is current and you communicate openly with us, trust develops naturally. With that trust comes freedom and autonomy. ## Who we're looking for This position is for an experienced Physiotherapist. We are not considering new graduates. You will need:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Appropriate Australian working rights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A valid driver's licence
- Confidence working independently
- Broad clinical experience across several of the areas we service
- Demonstrated experience working within Australian healthcare, disability or community-care settings
- Blue Card and Yellow Card prior to commencing employment Experience across NDIS, neurological rehabilitation, paediatrics, DVA, private practice and musculoskeletal physiotherapy will be highly regarded. We don't expect someone to have spent their entire career working across every one of these areas. We do want enough breadth of experience to manage a varied caseload and enough judgement to recognise when another opinion or additional training is required. We are not offering employer sponsorship for this role. Shortlisted applicants will attend an in-person interview and practical clinical assessment as part of our recruitment process. ## Where the role can lead There are different ways to build a long-term career with Better Move. If you're an excellent clinician who loves treating patients and wants to continue developing clinically, we value that. For people who want something different over time, our growth will also create opportunities in mentoring, senior clinical roles, leadership, clinic management and business development. Our longer-term plan is to establish multiple clinic locations. For the right people, we also intend to develop a future partnership pathway, creating the possibility of operating a Better Move clinic with genuine ownership in what you are building. Those opportunities are available for people who want them. They aren't an expectation attached to the role. ## What you can expect from us We will be clear about what we expect from you, and you can expect the same level of commitment from us. You can expect:
- Open and direct communication
- Experienced clinicians around you when you need support
- Investment in relevant training and professional development
- A genuine willingness to consider new equipment, training and clinical ideas
- Flexibility where patient and team needs allow it
- Autonomy as trust develops
- Recognition and reward when you contribute beyond the normal expectations of the role We want positive people to enjoy working here. We want clinicians to feel supported to become better at what they do. And we want to build a team where people trust each other, communicate openly and take pride in the care they provide. If that sounds like the type of environment in which you would do your best work, we'd like to hear from you.
