Salary:
$90,000 – $100,000 per year The Company Whitefield Capital Management [WCM] is an established fund manager specialising in quantitatively based Australian equities strategies. WCM manages a range of wholesale funds including ASX listed entities and the investment operations of an associated insurer. The Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is a key part of the finance function, supporting accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant standards, and continuous process improvement. Responsibilities The role involves responsibility for the following areas:
• Preparation of financial working papers, management reports and public reports for ASX listed and unlisted investment funds;
• Ensuring compliance with Accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies;
• Support the preparation of board/committee materials;
• Liaison with external Auditors and service providers;




• Accounts payable processing; and
• Involvement in investment operation activities. What we're looking for We would look for candidates that:
• Have approx. 3 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role or first mover from Big 4 / mid-tier accounting firm;
• Have tertiary qualifications in Accounting;
• CPA or CA qualification (or working toward) highly regarded;
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work;
• Possess a robust sense of accountability and ownership; and
• Experience in the wholesale investment and financial services arena is not a prerequisite but may be of assistance. Candidates that fall outside our target range may also be considered for this role.
