Senior Contract Administrator Our client is a well-established building contractor specialising in modular construction, structural steel, and cladding works, based in West Melbourne. Due to continued growth within their commercial division, they're seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to take ownership of a portfolio of commercial construction projects — from award through to completion — managing budgets, contracts, and profitability while mentoring the wider team. Key Responsibilities

- Own the commercial performance of allocated projects — budgets, forecasting, and profitability
- Administer contracts and maximise entitlements (variations, EOTs, delay costs)
- Lead commercial negotiations with builders, consultants, and subcontractors
- Monitor cost-to-complete, cash flow, and margin, driving corrective action where needed
- Manage contract administration end-to-end — notices, claims, final accounts, retention




- Partner with Procurement to manage supplier risk and budget compliance
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and programme risks
- Support and mentor Project Managers and Contract Administrators
- Build strong relationships with Tier 1/Tier 2 builders, developers, and consultants About You
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator or Senior Contracts Administrator in commercial construction setting
- Strong commercial, financial, and contractual acumen
- Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring team members (highly regarded but not essential)
