About the Role
The Last Slice is looking for an experienced Pasta & Burger Chef to join our kitchen team in Sydney Olympic Park. We are seeking someone with at least 2 years of relevant professional kitchen experience who is confident preparing and cooking both pasta and burgers in a busy restaurant environment. You will need to work efficiently under pressure, manage your section during service and consistently deliver dishes to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of pasta and burger dishes.
- Manage the pasta and burger stations during service.
- Complete daily preparation and station setup.
- Cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistent portioning, quality and presentation.
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking and preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and Front of House teams.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties. Requirements




- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar chef or cook position is essential.
- Strong experience with both pasta and burger preparation.
- Confident working in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Ability to manage your section independently during busy periods.
- Strong cooking, preparation and plating skills.
- Good time management and organisation.
- Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Generator easy to read poster so I can post it on my socials
