Plasma Leading Hand Full-time | Permanent | Forrestfield Step into a hands-on leadership role with Transbeam Industries. At Transbeam Industries, we specialise in steel processing and manufacturing solutions that support some of Australia’s most demanding industries. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Plasma Leading Hand to drive performance in our steel processing team. This is a key leadership role where you’ll lead from the front, guiding your team, ensuring quality output, and keeping production running efficiently and safely. What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, mentor and support a team of operators, trade assistants and trainees
- Plan and prioritise daily workloads to meet production targets and deadlines
- Set up, program and operate CNC plasma cutting machines
- Use TouchCut software to generate and optimise cutting programs
- Ensure materials are correctly prepared, aligned, and processed efficiently
- Monitor product quality and adjust programs to achieve precise results
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plasma equipment
- Safely operate overhead cranes and handle steel materials
- Work closely with the General Manager to address workflow and performance matters
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience operating CNC Plasma machines




- Previous experience in a Leading Hand / Supervisory role (or ready to step up)
- Strong understanding of steel processing and fabrication environments
- Ability to lead from the front and drive team performance
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Forklift licence and current driver’s licence Desirable:
- Experience with Kinetic K5200 machines
