Senior Contract Administrator Our client is a well-established building contractor specialising in modular construction, structural steel, and cladding works, based in West Melbourne. Due to continued growth within their commercial division, they're seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to take ownership of a portfolio of commercial construction projects — from award through to completion — managing budgets, contracts, and profitability while mentoring the wider team. Key Responsibilities
• Own the commercial performance of allocated projects — budgets, forecasting, and profitability
• Administer contracts and maximise entitlements (variations, EOTs, delay costs)
• Lead commercial negotiations with builders, consultants, and subcontractors
• Monitor cost-to-complete, cash flow, and margin, driving corrective action where needed
• Manage contract administration end-to-end — notices, claims, final accounts, retention
• Partner with Procurement to manage supplier risk and budget compliance




• Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and programme risks
• Support and mentor Project Managers and Contract Administrators
• Build solid relationships with Tier 1/Tier 2 builders, developers, and consultants About You
• Proven experience as a Contract Administrator or Senior Contracts Administrator in commercial construction environment
• Strong commercial, financial, and contractual acumen
• Confident negotiator with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring team members (highly regarded but not essential)
