Title: Java J2EE Developer

Location:
Melbourne / Sydney/ Canberra Duration: 12 months Initially with chances of Contract to Hire Visa Status: Australian Citizen Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Java J2EE Developer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise-grade Java applications. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL databases, and enterprise application development, with a proven ability to work across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Java/J2EE enterprise applications.
• Develop robust and reusable applications using Core Java, J2EE, Spring and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and web services for enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Perform application troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
• Develop database-driven applications and write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems using APIs and messaging technologies.




• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve application performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and support implementation and deployment activities.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Required Technical

Skills:
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, including OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading.
• Strong experience with J2EE technologies such as Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JPA, and JMS.
• Robust hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Solid understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
