Job Description
ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street is seeking a passionate and reliable Full-time Demi Chef to join our energetic kitchen team.
• The role involves preparing and presenting high-quality dishes across breakfast buffet, à la carte lunch and dinner and conference catering.
• You will support daily operations and take initiative when working independently.
• Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, ensuring mise en place is ready for buffet, à la carte and event service.
• Uphold food safety standards in line with current regulations.
• You’ll be expected to follow strict stock rotation procedures, minimise wastage, and assist with stock control.
• Equipment care and cleanliness are essential, with any issues reported to the Executive Chef.
• Support a positive, collaborative and engaging kitchen environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience, and show strong teamwork, flexibility, and a commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences aligned with the ibis Styles brand.

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Detail-focused with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality food under pressure

• Time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
