- Comfortable sharing the grunt work. /n /n /n What you’ll do /n As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll: /n /n
- Design, build and own APIs and services that form the core building blocks of our platform /n
- Deliver reliable product capabilities from technical design through to production, monitoring and ongoing improvement /n
- Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code,



conduct thoughtful code reviews and produce clear technical documentation /n
- Take the lead on solving complex technical challenges and making pragmatic, data-informed engineering decisions /n
- Help evolve our architecture by decomposing monolithic applications into well-bounded, domain-driven services /n
- Design and build resilient distributed and event-driven systems /n
- Contribute across the stack where appropriate, working closely with Product, Design, Data and other engineers to deliver high-quality customer experiences /n
- Build and improve deployment, testing and development practices that help the team release confidently /n
- Contribute to automated regression, performance and resiliency testing to keep production stable and fast /n
- Drive operational excellence through observability, runbooks and active participation in incident response and resolution /n
- Explore new and emerging technologies, clearly documenting your findings and recommendations /n
- Proactively identify and champion improvements to our engineering practices and standards /n
- Mentor other engineers, model best practice and help raise the technical bar across the team /n
- Support the continued growth of our engineering team through interviews, onboarding and knowledge-sharing /n /n /n What you’ll bring /n /n
- Around 6+ years of software engineering experience designing, building,



deploying and scaling API-driven systems /n
- Strong backend engineering capability and fluency in at least one modern programming language, such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Python or TypeScript /n
- Strong experience designing and operating production workloads in a public cloud environment, particularly AWS /n
- Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture principles and patterns /n
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, fault tolerance and resiliency patterns /n
- Strong knowledge of API best practices, including contract-first design, versioning strategies and backwards compatibility /n
- Experience designing and working with event-driven architectures, including messaging, streaming and eventual consistency /n
- Strong experience with Linux and containerised environments using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes /n
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and production observability practices /n
- Solid working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL /n
- A track record of writing clean, well-tested and maintainable code, with demonstrated technical initiative /n
- The ability to balance technical quality with pragmatic product delivery /n
- Healthy curiosity, solid autonomy and a deep sense of accountability for your work /n
