You will initially be responsible for general yard duties, with the chance to develop your skills and progress into machinery operation.
Key responsibilities
- Sorting and separating scrap metal
- General yard housekeeping and maintaining a safe, tidy work environment
- Assisting with day-to-day yard operations
- Progressing to operating excavators and other machinery
- Learning to safely load and unload trucks
About you
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a current driver's licence
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Be safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
- A forklift licence is preferred but not essential
- No previous scrap metal or machinery experience is necessary,
as training will be provided
