Perigon Group is partnering with a well-established and growing Australian business to recruit an Assistant Accountant for their Brisbane finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to build on their existing experience and gain broader exposure across month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting activities. Working within a supportive finance team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting function while continuing to develop your technical accounting skills and commercial understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of month-end journals, accruals and prepayments

Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations

Cost and revenue reconciliations

Billing and completeness checks

Ad hoc invoicing

Assistance with BAS and compliance-related activities

Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations

Supporting reporting and general accounting processes

About You





Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

Approximately 1-2 years' accounting experience

Recently completed your studies or currently working towards CA/CPA

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Intermediate Excel skills

Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
