Monitor access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarms, and related security technology

Verify employee, visitor, and contractor credentials; enforce access control procedures

Respond to security incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and emergency situations

Provide first response to medical and other emergencies until relieved by emergency personnel

Assist with building evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and emergency response operations

Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary

Protect employees, visitors, contractors, executives, and company assets through standard facility security measures

Investigate and document incidents, accidents, property damage, and policy violations

Complete accurate and detailed incident reports, daily activity reports, and security logs

Maintain patrol coverage during Security Manager absences by adjusting shift start/end times as needed, with reasonable notice

Enforce company policies, security procedures, and safety regulations consistently across shifts

Maintain proficiency with issued firearms and approved defensive equipment

Participate in ongoing training, drills, and professional development activities

Maintain current, unlapsed state armed security officer licensure and continuing education
