Loan Market Edge is on the lookout for a confident, driven and technically sharp Lending Specialist to join our high-performing team on the Gold Coast. This role owns the credit behind every loan we write: running serviceability across our lender panel, finding the lender and structure that fit, vetting the file before it goes anywhere near a bank, and writing the rationale that gets it approved. Our brokers bring the client; you bring the way to a yes. Getting the credit right on day one is where our customers for life approach begins. What You'll Be Doing

Running serviceability across multiple lenders and products, and knowing which calculator to trust and why

Researching scenarios and recommending the strongest path to the broker, with the reasons and the alternatives

Reading and interpreting lender policy, credit guidelines and loan notes, and staying ahead of changes

Vetting supporting documents before lodgement, so every file goes in clean

Writing clear credit rationale for complex, non-standard and exception applications

Responding to lender More Information Requests and working directly with credit officers on technical questions

Supporting our CSMs with credit queries during processing,



and driving credit bottlenecks out of the pipeline

Covering broker appointments during leave periods, and helping the Head of Credit with training and lender updates

Maintaining accurate MyCRM credit notes so anyone on the team can see where a file stands

Contributing to continuous improvement of our credit processes

About You

3+ years in lending credit. Experience in bank credit assessment or underwriting, lending management, a senior CSM or para-broker seat, or broker-side credit analysis will be looked upon very favourably

Strong working knowledge of residential lending products, lender policy and serviceability, including self-employed and investor income

A confident, clear communicator with brokers, lenders and clients, in writing and on the phone

Analytical and precise: you check the source and get the detail right

You take ownership and drive things to a result without waiting to be asked

Comfortable learning recent systems and technology, including AI tools

Thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Energetic, positive and motivated to grow professionally

Qualified, ethical, and always putting client outcomes first

Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking, held or willing to complete (we fund it)
