Planetary Geophysics Pty Ltd – Brisbane QLD Planetary Geophysics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Geophysical Technician to join our team on projects across a range of locations throughout Australia. The role will involve field-based data acquisition across multiple geophysical survey methods, including Magnetics, IP/Resistivity, EM, Gravity, and MT. Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition and quality control of geophysical data across multiple survey types Operation and routine maintenance of geophysical instrumentation Working in remote and challenging field environments Adhering to company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) systems and procedures Essential Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 7 years’ experience in exploration geophysics Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining geophysical equipment Strong field experience in demanding and remote climates Ability to work both independently and within a team, including leading crews of up to 10 geophysicists and technicians Willingness to work away from home for extended periods (3+ weeks) Physically fit and able to meet pre-employment medical and functional assessment requirements Solid understanding of HSE requirements, including JSAs, risk assessments, inspections, audits, and reporting Experience with Microsoft Office Data QC and processing using industry-standard geophysical software Experience using GIS software Mandatory Certifications & Requirements
Current First Aid certificate 4x4 and UTV/ATV certificates National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
