About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Building Construction Supervisor to support the builder in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day construction of new luxury homes and townhouses.

The successful candidate will bring a sound understanding of residential construction methods, architectural documentation and sustainable building principles, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

This is a predominantly site-based position, with flexibility to work from home approximately 1–2 days per week for construction planning, scheduling, reporting and project coordination, depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the builder in planning, organising and supervising daily construction activities across residential building sites.
- Coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, suppliers and construction activities to maintain effective project delivery.
- Monitor construction progress against approved architectural and structural drawings, specifications, schedules and quality requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify workmanship issues, construction defects and discrepancies.
- Interpret architectural,



structural and technical documentation to support accurate construction and high-quality architectural finishes.
- Support the implementation of sustainable construction practices, including energy efficiency, thermal performance, material selection and waste minimisation.
- Monitor the correct installation of insulation, glazing, building envelopes and other energy-efficient construction elements in accordance with approved specifications.
- Coordinate building materials, deliveries, equipment and site resources to minimise delays and unnecessary waste.
- Assist with construction scheduling, cost monitoring, progress reporting and project documentation.
- Liaise with engineers, building surveyors, architects, consultants and contractors to resolve technical and construction-related matters.
- Monitor site safety, workmanship and compliance with applicable building regulations, construction standards and sustainability requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and project progress updates.
- Assist the builder in coordinating construction milestones, inspections, defect rectification and project handover.

Qualifications and Experience

- Relevant qualification in Building, Construction Management, Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in residential construction, site supervision or construction coordination,



preferably involving new luxury homes or townhouse developments.
- Sound understanding of residential construction methods, building materials and construction processes.
- An architectural background or experience working with architectural documentation will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of sustainable building principles, energy-efficient construction methods and environmentally responsible building practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, construction details and technical specifications.
- Understanding of Australian building regulations, the National Construction Code (NCC), construction quality standards and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and construction activities effectively.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between construction sites.
