AEW Engineering is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our workshop team in Lambton, NSW.

CNC milling experience is desired but not essential; strong turning skills are the priority.

About the role

As a full-time CNC Turning Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our production and manufacturing processes, utilizing your technical expertise to deliver high-quality turned parts and repairs for our clients.

This role has been created to support our expanding client base and increased production capacity following the purchase of current equipment. You'll be hands-on across setup, operation, and programming on CNC lathes, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Machinist in a jobbing or low-volume production environment.
- Strong working knowledge of CNC turning, machine operation, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.




- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker, Cert III in Engineering).
- CNC milling experience desired but not essential—turning is the core requirement.
- Okuma experience preferred, but not essential—training will be provided for the right candidate.
