About the Role

Eyecare Concepts | The Myopia Clinic Melbourne is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented team member to join us in December 2026, covering a 12-month maternity leave.

This is a multifaceted role. You will work across patient care, optical dispensing, marketing and healthcare technology, supporting both the day-to-day running of the clinic and the way we communicate with our community. We are a specialised practice at the forefront of preventative eye care and myopia management, with an active interest in technology and innovation. We offer full training for candidates who are new to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Reception and Patient Care
Welcome patients, manage appointments, handle phone and email enquiries, and provide a high standard of customer service.

Clinical Support
Assist our optometrists with pre-testing, patient preparation and specialised clinical testing.

Optical Dispensing
Guide patients through frame selection, lens options and fitting recommendations.

Marketing and Content
Contribute to marketing initiatives, manage social media and create content for the clinic using Canva, Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve. You will have genuine input into how we present our services and tell our story to families across Melbourne.

Healthcare Technology and Digital Projects
Our clinic is actively involved in healthcare technology and software development. In this role you will use and help refine the digital systems behind our practice, including testing new tools, giving practical front-of-house feedback and supporting their introduction into daily clinic workflows.

About You

- Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy, including practice management software, MS Excel or content design tools
- Computing and AI skills are an advantage, as is an interest in how technology can improve patient care and clinic operations
- Creative skills or an interest in marketing, social media and content creation
- Experience in medical reception, healthcare or eye care is desirable but not essential
- Leadership capabilities are highly regarded
- Personal experience wearing contact lenses or Ortho-K lenses is a bonus
