Love music and little kids? We're looking for a musician who's worked with young children, whether that's in early childhood education, preschool or daycare, nannying, or running kids' activities. No formal teaching qualification needed. We'll train you in our program.

About us

Einsteinz Music has been running play-based music classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers (6 months to 5 years) across Sydney since 1999. Our classes are led by skilled musicians and are all about sparking a love of music through rhythm, song and movement. Everything is played live on real instruments.

About the role

This is a Sydney-wide role, leading weekday classes at our venues in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, St George and Lower North Shore.

- Community classes are 45 minutes, usually 2 to 3 in a morning, with a parent or carer joining each child. These are small groups of up to 12 children.
- We also run 30-minute classes in daycare centres, where groups can be bigger, and 2-hour after-school care sessions. So there's work in the afternoons too if you want it.
- You'll use our tried-and-tested format and song repertoire, so there's no lesson planning from scratch.
- Classes run during NSW school terms, with the occasional make-up class in the school holidays. Ideal for musicians with gigs, study or other work.

Pay (all rates are plus 12% super)

- Up to $80 an hour
- Daycare classes: $40 per 30-minute class (most visits are 2 or more classes)
- Weekday community classes: $40 an hour,



and a single 45-minute class still pays $67 (2-hour minimum)
- After-school care sessions: $80 for 2 hours
- Paid training at $33 an hour

From 20 November 2026, ongoing into 2027.

- Experience with young children, especially under 5s
- Confident on guitar or ukulele, and able to sing while you play
- Warm and engaging, with a natural way with little ones
- Reliable, punctual and happy working on your own
- A valid Working With Children Check (or able to get one before you start)
- Australian work rights
- Driver's licence and your own car
