About the business and the role

Custom Quip Engineering Pty Ltd (CQE) is a well-established Western Australian Vehicle Body Building business with over two decades of experience specialising in the design and manufacture of quality transport equipment.

CQE seek a motivated team player to join the team as Motor Mechanic, at our centrally located, purpose-built facility in Kenwick W.A.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Accurate and efficient assembly of a broad range of newly manufactured semi trailer equipment. Components include items such as suspension and axles, pneumatic braking systems, hydraulic systems, accessories, signage and other.
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of transport equipment.
- Timely diagnosis and repair of mechanical issues.
- Attention to detail applied to every task to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Follow processes to effectively completed applicable checklist and forms.
- Contribute to a healthy and cohesive, safe can-do work environment whilst adhering to WHS systems.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Relevant trade qualification or at least 2 years experience in the Motor Mechanic trade.
- Experience and sound mechanical understanding of semi-trailer functions.




- Sound knowledge of key components on semi-trailers.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and automotive electrical systems on semi-trailers.
- Ability to read and understand schematic drawing and assembly instructions relating to brake kits, hydraulic lines and electrical components.
- Motivated & team orientated attitude.
- Ability to work independently assuring effective communication with supervisors and fellow team members.
- Out of the box thinker with the ability to diagnose faults/errors and provide or seek solutions.

Pay: From $44.00 per hour
