We’re looking for a confident, energetic and reliable Senior Host to join our team.

This isn’t your typical customer service role. As a Senior Host, you’ll be one of the key people responsible for keeping the venue running smoothly when the Venue Manager or Team Leader isn’t on site.

We’re looking for someone who naturally takes charge, has a big personality and is comfortable making decisions, solving problems and leading a team while still creating a fun and welcoming experience for every guest.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Host, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue during your shift, including:

- Leading and supporting the Host team on shift
- Being the go-to person when the Venue Manager or Team Leader is not on site
- Making decisions and taking ownership of issues as they arise
- Handling customer enquiries, complaints and unexpected situations calmly and professionally
- Ensuring guests receive an engaging, fun and memorable experience
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and presentation throughout the venue
- Managing ticketing, bookings and general front-of-house operations
- Keeping the team organised and making sure everyone knows what they should be doing
- Opening the venue and ensuring everything is ready for guests
- Completing the full closing procedure and leaving the venue secure
- Checking doors, exhibits, storage and access areas before closing
- Locking the venue, activating alarms and ensuring lights and equipment are switched off
- Identifying maintenance issues, damaged exhibits, equipment faults and safety concerns and reporting them promptly
- Supporting the Venue Manager and Team Leaders with general operational tasks
- Helping maintain a positive team culture and setting the standard for other Hosts

What we’re looking for

- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two shifts are exactly the same

RSA REQUIRED

A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency is mandatory for this position.

Applicants without a current RSA will not be considered.

Availability

This is a casual position, and flexibility is important.

We are particularly looking for people who are available to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays and busy periods, with the ability to take on shifts when required.
