Join the WellVibe Team

At WellVibe, we believe good disability support is about more than completing daily tasks. It's about building trust, respecting people's choices and helping participants feel confident, safe and connected to their community.

We're looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who understand the responsibilities that come with supporting people living with disability, mental health conditions and complex support needs.

We provide support across Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, participants' own homes and community settings.

Whether you're helping someone with their morning routine, supporting them through a difficult day or accompanying them to an activity they enjoy, your approach can make a meaningful difference.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will vary depending on each participant's individual support needs and may include:

Supported Independent Living (SIL) & Daily Living

- Supporting participants with personal care, hygiene, dressing and daily routines.
- Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks, cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Supporting medication administration in accordance with training, authorisation and individual medication plans.
- Providing support during morning, afternoon, evening, weekend and sleepover shifts.
- Encouraging participants to develop independence and everyday living skills.

Mental Health & Psychosocial Support

- Supporting participants experiencing mental health challenges, psychosocial disability and emotional distress.
- Building positive professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Recognising changes in mood, behaviour and wellbeing, and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Providing calm, respectful and recovery-oriented support during challenging situations.

Community Access & Participation

- Supporting participants to attend medical appointments, shopping, recreational activities and community programs.
- Encouraging social connections,

confidence and participation in activities that matter to each participant.
- Providing transport when required and supporting participants to access the community safely.

Behaviour Support & Participant Safety

- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
- Using positive behaviour support strategies and appropriate de-escalation techniques.
- Understanding restrictive practice requirements and following approved procedures where applicable.
- Identifying and reporting incidents, hazards and changes in participant wellbeing.

Documentation & Communication

- Completing accurate, meaningful shift progress notes and daily records.
- Reporting incidents and concerns promptly through WellVibe's reporting systems.
- Providing clear handovers and communicating with team leaders, coordinators and other professionals.
- Following NDIS Practice Standards, organisational policies and participant-specific support instructions.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in people who have practical experience in disability support, SIL environments, mental health or other relevant community services.

To be considered, you should have:

- At least 2 years of relevant experience in disability support, mental health or community services.
- A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Community Services or a related qualification.
- A sound understanding of person-centred support, participant choice, dignity and professional boundaries.
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs, behaviours of concern or psychosocial disabilities.
- Confidence in completing clear and accurate shift notes and incident reports.
- The ability to work independently, follow support plans and communicate effectively with the wider care team.
- Flexibility to work across rotating rosters, including weekends, evenings and sleepovers.
- Willingness to travel between support locations when required.

Essential Checks & Requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one before commencing relevant duties.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
