Full-Time Chef – Club Mermaid Location: Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast QLD

Club Mermaid has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Chef to join our team. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic chef who takes pride in preparing quality meals and maintaining high kitchen standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a consistently high standard.
- Following recipes and maintaining consistent portion sizes and presentation.
- Monitoring stock levels, checking deliveries and ensuring food is stored correctly.
- Minimising food wastage and maintaining effective stock rotation.
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and following food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver efficient service.

Applicants for this position should:

- Have relevant formal qualifications in commercial cookery.
- Have at least one year of relevant full-time experience in addition to formal qualifications.



Three to five years of relevant full-time employment may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
- Have sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices.
- Be able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and time management skills.
- Be available to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Remuneration

An annual base salary of $75,000–$80,000, plus superannuation, will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
