About the Role
SAMSAM CHICKEN is looking for an experienced Cook or Chef to join our Central Kitchen team.
Our central kitchen prepares food and ingredients for multiple restaurant locations across Melbourne.
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and experienced individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food in large quantities for our restaurant locations.
- Handle daily food preparation and kitchen production tasks.
- Maintain consistent food quality and hygiene standards.
- Assist with stock handling, storage and kitchen organisation.
- Perform manual handling and lifting tasks as part of daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Previous professional kitchen experience is essential.
- Experience in commercial kitchens or large-scale food preparation is highly regarded.
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and lifting duties.
- Solid work ethic, reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Availability to work weekdays, Monday to Friday.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
