FOOD & BEVERAGE ATTENDANT GRADE 3+

Small, reputable, family-owned Italian restaurant in Fortitude Valley is hiring a Food and Beverage Attendant. We have flexible hours to suit the right candidate, and can offer anything from eight hours a week up to full-time hours. We can offer casual, part time, or full-time employment for the right candidate.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will assist in both lunch and dinner services, and independently manage the floor during quieter lunch shifts. You will learn the specialist menu and wine list, and develop a thorough understanding of Italian food and wine culture. Once trained, you will:

- Prepare for services by polishing crockery, glasses, and utensils
- Set and clear tables
- Plan and manage bookings
- Advise customers on menu items and take orders
- Train and supervise other staff
- Communicate effectively with other sections of the restaurant
- Process payments
- Ensure customer satisfaction and manage complaints

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Experience in restaurant service roles will be highly regarded, as will any experience with wine. We recommend that the applicant have at least three years experience in restaurant industry service, but will consider any applicants who have more than one years experience in waiting.





Knowledge of Italian food and wine is not necessary to be successful in being awarded the role, but it will be highly regarded, and will help you to succeed in the role.

REQUIREMENTS

You will be reliable, dependable, well-presented, and honest. The selected candidate will:

- Hold a QLD RSA
- Have 1+ year/s of experience in restaurant service
- Have exceptional communication skills

POSITION

We have a number of positions available, and encourage all interested applicants to apply. In addition to waiting and service staff, we are currently seeking a manager. Any venue managers with a service background are encouraged to apply. Exceptionally performing F&B; Attendants may also be trained to fill the management role. Visa sponsorship is available for exceptional applicants or for exceptional hires following a probation period.

Pay: $56,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
