Foxleigh Mine is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Bench Hand to join our Drill & Blast team. Reporting to the Drill & Blast Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting the safe and efficient preparation and execution of blasting activities across the mine operation.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with preparing blast patterns and blast holes for loading activities.
- Load stemming material and support blast hole preparation.
- Assist with explosives loading and tie-in activities under authorised supervision and in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining blast exclusion zones.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and maintain blast equipment, tools and vehicles in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Assist with post-blast inspections and clean-up activities.
- Maintain the security and accountability of blasting equipment, accessories and consumables.
- Support inventory management and stock control of blast consumables.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and opportunities for improvement.

About You
Essential Requirements:
- Current Open C Class Driver's Licence.
- Standard 11 Surface Coal Induction.
- Current Coal Mine Workers' Health Assessment.
- Previous experience in an open-cut coal mining environment or similar heavy industry.
- Understanding of safe work practices and risk management.
- Ability to follow procedures and work effectively under supervision.
- A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
