About Simpson Health Centre Simpson Barracks is located at Yallambie (approx. 40 mins North-East of Melbourne CBD). Predominately a Forces Command training base supporting Defence Force School of Signals (tri-service technicians & operators, electronic warfare systems), Defence Force School of Music (tri-service musicians) and Army Education Centre. The Army base services approximately 6000 Defence members and operates a 9 bed low dependency ward 24/7.

The health centre also provides primary medical, nursing, physiotherapy,



dental and mental health services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

This role is every Monday and Friday (7:30am – 3:30pm) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

What you’ll do

- Supporting dental procedures through chair-side assisting
- Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment and treatment areas
- Promoting oral health and supporting patient care
- Maintaining infection control and hygiene standards
- Managing patient records and supporting administrative tasks

What you bring

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
- 2 years chair-side experience in a dental clinical setting
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification
- Strong understanding of infection control and clinical standards
- Great communication skills with a caring, team-focused approach
