Cleverain is partnering with a significant regional organisation to appoint an experienced Asset Management Manager to lead the strategic planning, management and long-term sustainability of a substantial and diverse infrastructure portfolio.

This is an opportunity for an established engineering or asset management leader to take ownership of a critical organisational function, influence infrastructure investment decisions and help shape the future of essential community assets.

The Opportunity

Leading a specialist team, you will be responsible for driving the organisation's asset management strategy, long-term infrastructure planning and asset management capability. Working closely with executive leadership, finance and infrastructure teams, you will ensure that asset management decisions are informed by sound engineering principles, reliable data, financial sustainability and community needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading the development and implementation of Asset Management Strategies, policies and long-term plans.
- Overseeing lifecycle planning, asset renewal programs and capital investment priorities across a diverse infrastructure portfolio.
- Aligning asset management planning with long-term financial forecasts and capital works programs.
- Strengthening asset management systems, data integrity, governance and reporting.
- Providing strategic advice on infrastructure performance, risk, investment and long-term sustainability.
- Leading, mentoring and developing a specialist team while driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

About You

We're looking for an experienced infrastructure asset management professional who combines robust technical knowledge with proven management experience and the ability to deliver strategic outcomes.

Ideally, you will bring:





- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Asset Management, with an engineering background highly regarded.
- Substantial experience in infrastructure asset management, including demonstrated responsibility for leading teams and delivering strategic outcomes.
- Proven experience developing and implementing asset management strategies, lifecycle plans and long-term infrastructure investment priorities.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding, including asset renewal planning, lifecycle costing and risk-based investment decisions.
- Experience improving asset management systems, governance and organisational capability.
- A practical, collaborative leadership style with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and work across multiple business functions.

Experience in local government, education infrastructure, water, energy, gas, electricity or other utilities organisations will be highly regarded. You may already be leading an asset management function or managing infrastructure planning within a complex, asset-intensive organisation.

Importantly, we're seeking someone who brings the leadership experience, sound judgement and practical capability to take ownership of the function and make an immediate contribution.
